An Evening of Words and Music

Friday, 20th April, 8-10:30pm
Are you a musician or part of a group of musicians? Do you know a musician who would like to perform?
If so, we would love to hear from you, as St George’s organises “An Evening of Words and Music” on the theme of “Spring”. The event will be held at church on Friday, 20th April, 8-10:30pm.
Classical, jazz, folk, rock: all musical styles are welcome. The music will be interspersed with literary readings: poetry, an excerpt from a play, a passage from a novel or a short story which you particularly like or have written yourself. The works can be either sacred or secular. Just let us know in advance, so we can try to include it in the programme.
If you don’t want to read the work yourself, we can find someone else to do it for you. For that reason, let us know if you would be willing to serve as a reader.
To participate, contact the church office, leaving your name and contact details, together with what your contribution would be.
Although every effort will be made to feature your work, please be advised that the final programme will be at the discretion of the organisers. If there are more suggestions than time will allow, we will look at repeating the event in future.
We are really looking forward to an amazing evening!
