Mission Support

A portion of the donations the church receives are channelled to local initiatives and international causes, with input from the congregation. These are some of the charities we support (listed in alphabetical order):

Anglican Diocese of Peru 
As part of our Archdeaconry (Andorra, Gibraltar, Morocco, Portugal and Spain) we link with the Anglican Church in Peru, supporting them through financial help and personal encouragement for whatever projects they propose. Revd Deborah Chapman is the official link person for the Archdeaconry.

 

Athletes in Action (AIA) 
Serving, training and sending Christian athletes as influencers, equipping them to use their platform to be part of God’s mission in the world.

Barnabas Aid
Provides aid for Christian brothers and sisters around the world, wherever they suffer discrimination or oppression because of their faith.

Church Mission Society (CMS)
Anglican mission agency that works in the UK and overseas to transform communities through creative engagement with local cultures.

Escola i Centre d’Atenció Especialitzada (CAE) Guimbarda
Special education and day centre in Barcelona for children with learning disabilities and special needs.

Global Aid Network (GAiN)
An initiative of the Christian organisation Agape. Gives practical aid and emergency support in places around the world, from Haiti to Ukraine, where there are urgent humanitarian needs.

Great Lakes Outreach (GLO)
Helps people in Burundi (East Africa) overcome war trauma by providing humanitarian aid, funding sustainable projects and bringing God’s message of peace, hope and love.

Salvation Army of Barcelona 
They serve breakfast to homeless people and give out food and clothing to people in need. St George’s gives regular donations throughout the year of food, clothing and other items as needed.

 

Shevet Achim 
Christian children’s hospital in Israel helping non-Israeli children receive lifesaving heart operations and medical care.
