St George’s chaplains are appointed and licensed by the Bishop of the Diocese in Europe, in conjunction with ICS, under the umbrella of the Church of England.

St George’s pertains to the Diocese in Europe. The Diocese represents a network of Christian communities and congregations serving Anglicans and other English-speaking Christians spread across 42 countries, not only in Continental Europe but Turkey and Morocco as well.

Intercontinental Church Society (ICS)
St George’s is also part of the work of the Intercontinental Church Society. ICS is a Church of England mission agency to English-speakers abroad which focuses on planting and growing international churches. ICS and St George’s Council both have a voice in the choosing of the chaplains.
