Rachel Shock, New Costa Brava Chaplain

The Revd Rachel Shock has been appointed Anglican Chaplain for the Costa Brava, serving 4 congregations spread throughout this northern part of Catalonia, Spain. She took up her position in August 2018 and her licensing service will be held in September 2018. She falls within the Archdeaconry of Gibraltar, like St George’s does.

Churchwarden Gill Hepworth writes: “Revd Rachel Shock is being licensed on 4 September 2018 at 12noon in Madremanya. We are all very excited about it as there is a large group travelling from the UK to support her, along with a good number from the local religious community and of course our church community in Madremanya. Revd John and Deborah are also going to join us from St George’s, Barcelona. Rachel’s husband, Tim, and her two sons, Edward and Matthew, will also be there for the licensing. Rachel is very much looking forward to meeting everyone.”
