Silent Auction

Many of you have enjoyed the paintings of long-time St George’s church member Jorge Nuñez Segura. His widow, Janet, has kindly donated two beautiful paintings by him to the church for us to auction (both pictured). Half the auction proceeds will go towards the charitable work of St George’s and the rest to Janet.

The paintings are very representative of Jorge’s artistic style and motifs: fishermen, ships and seascapes, of which he was a master.

The paintings are currently on display in the church, with boxes placed beside them where anyone can place a bid.

If you wish to bid on a painting but are unable to do so in person, please contact Josephine, our church administrator, or Revd John, and they will put your bid in the auction box for you.

This silent auction will continue until Sunday 9th July. Then, the church will notify the person whose bid is the highest, and they can arrange to come and collect their painting.

This is a way of blessing both Janet and St George’s, in loving memory of Jorge.
