Wanted: New Volunteers

Wanted: New Volunteers

St George’s is always looking for new volunteers and now is the time to think about how you might get involved.

The Building Sub-Groups are going to be active again in the fall. You may remember they conducted a survey to see how we could improve the use of our main church area. Now they are planning to act upon some of those recommendations, related to everything from improved lighting and projection of music during the services, to the coffee and tea area, to the use of the fellowship space on Sundays.

If you are interested in making further suggestions for space improvements, please contact the wardens and they can put you in touch with the relevant sub-group leaders.

Also, our Choral Evensong group, St George’s Singers, will start rehearsing again from Sunday, 15th September, after the 11am service. They are always on the lookout for new singers. If you have some experience singing choral music and can sing harmonies, they would love to hear from you. Contact Carolina or Sherry.

There is plenty of scope to volunteer on a one-off basis without committing to a particular group. We welcome anyone wanting to use their own skills to help out with things around the church building, with the library or music or administration, for example. We love willing hands, even for small jobs.
